Why Choose Vumatel Fibre?

Who is Vumatel?
VUMA installs in selected neighbourhoods in partnership with the community. Deploying infrastructure can be disruptive so we communicate the roll-out schedule and progress updates to residents proactively every week.

Vumatel deploys super-fast world-class fibre broadband infrastructure. VUMA Fibre launches you into the Information Age and puts a world of knowledge and entertainment at your fingertips.

Vumatel pioneered Fibre-to-the-Business (FTTB) in South Africa and has since connected thousands of homes across Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban to world-class broadband internet.

Vumatel’s network has been built with two things in mind - stability and speed.

Have you ever paid for a 10 megabit per second (10Mbps) line but only experience speeds of 1Mbps when you’re lucky? We think that’s like paying for a Big Mac® and only getting the bun, so we’ve built our network differently. If you order a 20 megabit per second (20Mbps) line then that’s what you will get, 24/7.

Vumatel builds an open access fibre network which means that Vumatel is not a service provider but simply installs the infrastructure. The open access nature of the network prevents the duplication of infrastructure and drives down prices for the end-user.
What is Vumatel FTTB?
Fibre to the business (FTTB), replaces the tired old copper phone cable to your home with optical fibre capable of blazingly fast speeds. Your Internet connection can now experience a dramatic improvement. No more long delays while files, music or videos download. Not only that, but a whole new world of online services will become available to you.
What are the benefits of using VumatelFibre?
Better Speed
Fibre is up to 250 times faster than today's basic DSL broadband. Upload speed is more or less the same as download speed, which is great for video conferencing via Skype and for remote working. Fibre future-proofs your home.

Improved Security
Rolling out a fibre network makes it possible for CCTV cameras to be placed throughout the community, which can play a significant role in improving the overall security in the areas they cover.

HD Entertainment Possible
Rapidly download or even live stream your favourite HD TV shows, movies, games and music via the Internet

Internet Telephony
VoIP (Voice over IP) can cut your phone costs by making calls (locally and internationally) from your home at a fraction of current costs, but with crystal clear quality.

Improved Mobile Phone Coverage
Mobile phone coverage (which can be very poor in some areas) can be improved with the installation of decentralised mini-antennas mounted on, for example, camera poles and traffic lights, they can be powered through the fibre network. This is a very viable means of addressing environmental and health concerns associated with large masts in residential areas.

Additional Services
Smart metering and home automation allows homeowners to upgrade to smart homes, with remote control of alarms, devices, lights, appliances, and remote measuring of water and electricity consumption.
How long will it take to get connected?
This will depend on the turnaround for your installation and activation. Once the line has been installed in your premises it can take up to 5 days for the provider to activate your line. As soon as your Fibre line is active, you can be connected to Interworks Fibre within 24 Hours.

Each provider has a different lead time for installation and activation. If your line is already activated, you'll be connected shortly after you sign up.

A few words from Interworks Fibre clients.

I am very pleased with the service and support we received from Interworks! Their team were great. We moved from our old ISP to them and we have no regrets. I highly recommend their services.

Thanks to the excellent service from Interworks, when I moved house they managed the transfer seamlessly and  I was only without internet for a couple of hours and I only had a moving date the day before.

I've been a customer for 2 years now. Absolutely loving the service we're receiving from Interworks. They have delivered on their promise to always have 20mb line speed available. Highly recommended.

Unbelievable service and functionality from day 1 - the installation was efficient, number porting worked like it should have and the sales, technical and accounts personnel are super friendly and do what they promise!
